Local lute player Gerry Flanagan is joined by fellow lutenist, astronomer, and Mainer Tony Costanzo for an afternoon program tracing the lute's evolution from Renaissance to Baroque.

Costanzo opens the concert with Renaissance music, including several pieces with vocals — he sings on some of them and will be joined by another vocalist. Flanagan follows with Baroque lute music from the 18th century.

Refreshments will be served at the beginning of the concert.
